What’s so special about lye soap?

It’s all natural. I can tell you every ingredient in our soaps in plain language that you’ll easily understand. No unpronounceable names of synthetic ingredients cooked up in a laboratory.

It contains naturally moisturizing glycerin. During saponification, glycerin is naturally formed within soap. Glycerin is known for being extremely mild, moisturizing, and nourishing to skin. If you check the ingredient list of many beauty products (facial cleansers and lotions, for example), you’ll see that glycerin has been added to make the product more beneficial to skin. We don’t have to add glycerin or charge extra for it because it’s already present in every bar of soap we sell.

It is a super cleanser. Our soap is gentle enough to be used daily by the whole family for showering and hand washing, but it can clean up the toughest messes. Lye soap easily dissolves grease and oil from skin for cleaning up after those dirty jobs that “a man’s just gotta do” (and a wife’s just gotta help with). Our soaps can be used around the house too if you’d like. Shave off a bit and dissolve it in warm water to wash counter tops, sinks, and basically anything else.
